This 7.3L Godzilla powered 1981 Chromatic Ford Bronco Free Wheeling Chromatic is the world’s first bullnose Ford, completed in 2022.

We started this build with a very well-optioned rust-free ‘81 Wimbledon White Free Wheeling Bronco with factory chromatic stripes. It was rust-free but needed a full restoration.

We stripped and refinished the body in its original Wimbledon and fit a new set of Chromatic Stripes. We redid the top in its factory white color and texture, refinished the factory Wagon Wheels and fit them with new 32” BfGoodrich K02 tires. Rare factory Marchal fog lights and brackets are fit to the front bumper.

This Bronco was very well optioned inside as well! It is a factory A/C, highback seat, GT bar and center console rig. We re-upholstered the factory seats back to their original glory, installed new carpet, dash pad and door panels while also redoing all the factory plastics.

The star of the show on this build is the Ford Performance sourced 7.3L Godzilla V8 that is mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission. We built our own engine and transmission mounts to package this driveline in the factory engine bay. We retained the original transfer case and integrated the factory A/C system.
