We found this 1979 Ford Bronco Custom in Light Medium Blue in Portland, Oregon. We were looking for a blue Bronco to restore for one of the owners at the shop and were really excited when we found this one because of the great shape of the exterior was in. No rust anywhere!

We knew before we bought it that this project was going to be a full restoration. When it arrived at the shop both the exterior and interior needed a lot of work.

We repainted the exterior in the factory Light Medium Blue because it’s an awesome color. We refinished the top in white with a factory-like texture. The Bronco arrived with aftermarket 16” wagon wheels, we decided to replace these with a factory set of 15×8” wagon wheels and fitted our favorite tires, BfGoodrich K02s.

Powered Bronco arrived to us powered by a D0VE headed 460 ci Big Block with an upgraded Comp Cam, Edelbrock intake and Holley Carburetor. This was a great starting point for us! We added a modern serpentine belt system, Vintage Air and got everything tuned up and running right but did not have to do a full rebuild.

The interior might be our favorite part of this whole project. Instead of restoring it with the factory interior, we opted to go for a King Ranch inspired interior with brown vinyl seats and black carpet. We also added a Retrosound Radio with Bluetooth and Kicker Audio speakers to complete the interior.

The presence of this Bronco coming down the road sure is a head turner and we enjoy using it as one of our dailys!
